Cru Bouregeois Supérieur Haut-Médoc (Avensan)

This 1998 is full of black-cherry fruit whilst retaining pencil-lead characteristics. The tannins are mellowing and the wine exhibits a long, complex finish. Drink 2006 - 2010.

Château Citran is a very large estate of 400 hectares of which 90 are vines. The château's moat dates back to the foundation of the original château in the 13th century. It is owned by the Touko-Haus company. The wines are characterised as full and powerful without being overly assertive. They exhibit great finesse.
