The 2002 Cambon has a delightful vibrancy of blackberry fruit with gentle tannins and great freshness. Already drinking well this could be kept until 2010.

The Cambon la Pelouse is located between Cantemerle and Giscours, two classed Châteaux on one of the highest tops of Macau and bordering the Margaux appellation. The vineyard was completely replanted in 1975. The proprty extends to 60 hectares. In 1996, the property was taken over by Jean-Pierre Marie. The quality of the soil and its geographical location (between two classed growths) were the two deciding factors in his decision to buy the property. Significant investment has been made in the estate and hes is now supported by Gabriel Vialard (former oenologist at Château Smith Haut Lafite).

The average age of vines is 25 years old and they are Cabernet Franc 20%, Cabernet-Sauvignon 30% and Merlot 50%.
