5eme Cru Classé Haut-Médoc (St. Laurent)

This is a very fine 2003 with a deep black-ruby colour, a nose of cassis, plums and cedarwood and particularly pure, fruit-driven medium-bodied palate. A classic claret with plenty of ageing potential. Drink 2009 - 2019.

The vineyards of Camensac cover 75 hectares and are predominantly of gravel. Each vineyard plot, each vintage, and each vat constitute a unique entity, and are treated as such. The winemaking team at Camensac looks above all for fine structure and complexity, though this in no way precludes round, soft tannin. Only the best vats are sold under the Camensac label. Those that do not make it are sold under their second label La Closerie de Camensac.
