During the very hot summer of 2003 it was often those properties situated on more water-retentive soils that coped with the scorching heat better. La Tour Carnet, with its clay sub soil, made a delicious 2003 which is ripe seductive and very full-bodied. The intense blackcurrant and minty flavours of the Cabernet shine through the intelligent underplay of oak. There are good tannins present which will assist in the wines long term development. Drink 2007 - 2022.

La Tour Carnet is now owned by Bernard Magrez of Pape-Clement with Jean Cordeau making the wine under the guiding hand of Michel Rolland.
