Join us at South Sands for our winemaker dinner with Sami Ghosn of Massaya, the celebrated Lebanese winery and arak distillery.
Where Chateau Musar fabulously led, others such as the Ghosn brothers have followed, and the Lebanons Bekaa valley is now home to more than 30 wineries. Over a delicious 5 course supper provided by Master Chef of Great Britain & executive chef Allister Bishop, Sami will introduce several of his award-winning wines, including Le Colombier, Terrasses de Baalbeck, Cap Est and Gold Reserve, each carefully paired with Allisters inspiring menu. Sami will discuss how the winery began and his familys partnership with the Brunier brothers of Vieux Télégraphe, Châteauneuf-Du-Pape and Dominique Hebrard of Château Trianon, Bordeaux.
Long, warm summers and wet winters make Lebanon perfectly suited to fine wine production and this is a marvellous opportunity to learn more about Massayas hugely sought-after wines.
