Mercier Brut is a traditional assemblage of wine from the most recent harvest together with some reserve wines from previous years. It is fresh and clean tasting with a crisp fruitiness.

Eugène Mercier founded his Champagne House in Epernay in 1858. A very flamboyant and determined character he was keen to receive visitors into his cellars to show them the unique qualities of his champagne. This democratization was frowned upon at the time by many of the more famous Houses. Mercier has always had a love affair with publicity and marketing and among their many sponsored events they once organised a Champagne Car Rally in the cellars at Epernay to launch a new Renault model. This involved cars racing around the cellars past all the racks of thousands of maturing bottles of champagne. Incredibly not one got broken!
