The Petite Sirah grape thrives in the rich fertile and gravelly soils found throughout the Lodi, California growing region. Boasting a classic Mediterranean climate of warm, dry summers produce grapes of intense varietal quality and character. After crushing, these fully mature grapes were rotary fermented in order to enhance their succulent fruit qualities and to reduce the amount of harsh tannins. French oak aging provided additional
structure and balance to this rich, full-bodied wine.

At first, one can get lost looking into the deep, dark purple ink color of Christine Andrew’s 2004 Petite Sirah. This classic Petite is anything but…it’s a big, bold, muscular, well-rounded wine floating in a sea of deep inky-dark purple. The senses are filled with aromas of ripe berries, blueberries and a hint of vanilla. This exceptionally full-bodied wine has a luscious mouth feel loaded with ripe fruit flavors of blackberry, vanilla and peppery spice with a smooth and lingering finish.
