The colour is a bright dark red with purple hues. Dark cherries are the prominent fruit character on the nose with hints of plums and blackberry. The primary fruit characters are complex with an attractive spice component of anise and tobacco. The palate displays fruit characters reminiscent of the aroma, with some weight and a soft lingering finish.

This wine is developed under the J. Lohr Estates banner which represents a line of estate-produced varietals of extraordinary quality, from J. Lohr’s home vineyards in Monterey County and Paso Robles. They control all aspects from viticulture to winemaking to bottling to ensure “flavour second to none.”
