Of a light yellow color, the Chenin/Chardonnay offers a nose of peaches and pears. The wine is smooth on the palate, allowing one to enjoy the vibrant fruit flavours.

Headed up by the dynamic Nicholas Catena, this leading Argentinean ‘player’ has had an important role to play in the modernisation and internationalisation of the Argentinean wine industry. The very strong wine-making team of Patricio Santos and Scott Peterson has resulted in Catena’s wineries producing some of Argentina’s most exciting Chardonnays, sourced from high altitude vineyards at Tipungato and Gualtalery, in the south-western region of Mendoza. The Libertad Chenin/ Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc are much more than entry-point wines as they also exhibit forthright varietal fruit flavours and plenty of character
